ThetaHealing doesn’t work.
Doing about 3 seconds worth of research for my prior blog post, I came across another example of why people may choose to say, “Are you kidding me?” when they hear about ThetaHealing for the first time. Because of what I saw in my rare moment of googling (rare because I have limited time as a mom), this post was born. And I can already tell you that this will be one of my favorite posts, simply because it makes me laugh! And Heaven knows I love to laugh…
I almost had a 1989 Paula Abdul moment, thinking perhaps this post should be called ”Straight Up”- because we’re getting down and dirty this time; straight up nitty-gritty. Because, guys, ThetaHealing doesn’t actually work. Once again, I’ve got a great example for you why it’s so laughable.
Weight Liberation, or Cash Liberation?
ThetaHealing has a new elective class called Weight Liberation. But before discussing it- please, allow me first to insert my annoyance at the use of the word “elective”, as though A) the other ThetaHealing classes are required by the human race, and B) the class is of use in the real world as a REAL school course… when in reality, it’s a for-profit proprietary school and no one doesn’t “pass”. (Very “school” like, right? Wrong.)
ThetaHealing’s weight ”liberation” rationale.
If you’re holding on to a moundage of poundage, or if muffins are offensive to you because they reflect your waistline, you’re *not supposed* to call the next step ”losing weight“. As the theory goes, if you refer to the work of shedding lb’s by telling people (or yourself) “I need to lose weight,” or “I lost weight!” then you have already sabotaged your perfect body. How? Oh, well obviously, because your subconscious mind will always have to “look for” that weight you lost! It doesn’t matter if you work out for 3 hours a day & consume fewer calories than a starving child, because if you say those dreaded words, “lost” or “lose” weight, then poof! the weight will latch back on to you by way of your subconscious mind! (Recap: If you “lose” it, then you need to “find” it… At least that’s what I heard a thousand times when ThetaHealing was the only topic of importance in my prior family life as Vianna’s daughter-in-law.)
“Straight up now tell me…”
The problem here is pretty obvious. Vianna and her own daughters, and many, many, many ThetaHealers are overweight. I’m not talking about the extra 5 lbs you took home as a souvenir from your cruise to the Bahamas. By “overweight” I mean that you could practically slice the body into 2 separate humans. I’m being real here, because trust me- I could lose a few myself. (which brings me to my next point…)
Who would you want to take a Weight “Liberation” class from?
… and my next point is that I can discuss the vastness of extra weight that exists in Vianna and her family, and in a LOT of their major followers, freely because I can honestly tell you that I know I’ve got a few extra lb’s in the love handle region that I’d love to be rid of… and I would NEVER try to teach someone else how to lose THEIR spare tire- and charge for it! And make it a 4-5 hour course! And then profess that it works because the saggy baggy elephant who supposedly got this information from God says so!! It’s insanity!
And this is where the game of con, via ThetaHealing, becomes wretchedly transparent. Again. Normally, someone who has lost weight (or toned their muscles) posts the basic **before & after** shots. They’re quite common, and if you’ve been alive for the past 10 years or more, you’ve definitely seen a thousand of them. Here’s a basic celeb comparison:
Or, you may prefer the cliché side-by-side comparison with the actual words “before” and “after” on the bottom.
They may be cheesy, but these types of pictures are vital in the business of weight reduction. There are so many choices in the weight loss/diet businesses already, some with intense supporting evidence and scientific studies! Then there is ThetaHealing. Huh? They needed to make more money, so why not add a moronic “elective” course where they try to convince some high-hoped overweight people that 4 hours of downloads and inspirational words from guru leader Vianna is going to shed the excess- as long as you call it “LIBERATION”.
ThetaHealing’s Motto: No Proof is Ever Actually Needed
Before and After pictures are proof that (in this case) your trusty ThetaHealing teacher, wasn’t already thin, and thus the class, pill, piece of exercise equipment… or eyes-closed weight-loss downloaded from God, meant nothing at all. Or, the pictures can prove that Mr. or Mrs. ThetaInstructor is not currently still fat and/or jiggly but hiding behind the infamous Facebook-esq ”profile” picture, and that their system really did do the magic it claims to do. Both are equally as shady, if you ask me.
The 2 Sides of The Shady Strategy Coin
-
Someone announces a *new* weight loss regimen when their body was already thin/healthy/toned –> dishonest. (ie “Look, it worked!” No, it didn’t. We all remember that you were already skinny.)
-
Someone announces a *new* regimen but they’re still a walking heart attack waiting to happen/floppy/never lost any actual weight with the taught system–> dishonest. (ie The Facebook Hiders)
The Creator of Weight Liberation. Really????
If this was Vianna before…
Then where is her after? The other half of this picture could be another 150lbs for all we know. I can already tell, having known Vianna for years and having just seen her in person last week, that her face is intensely airbrushed in the above picture… so I’m just wondering- where are the “after” shots of her God-Inspired Weight Liberation class? I believe it’s only fair to ask for the proof of how Vianna believes she can claim the ability to be the leader of the class on “toning up” and “liberating” the pounds. Come on.
Like everything else in ThetaHealing, you don’t actually need proof!
Or so they THInK…
In my googling, I’ve seen not before and after for this new ThetaHealing course. And honestly, I’m a little surprised! With as proficient at lying as many/most ThetaHealers have become, and as common as Photo Shop is, why haven’t they posted a fake before and after picture?
Why would anyone, especially in this type of careful economy around the world, pay good money to someone who clearly should NOT be teaching a weight “liberation” class! I would think that this class should be an instant bomb.
Real Life Liberators of ThetaHealing
I looked up who taught Weight Liberation. Suzanne came up quickly in my search.
I’m sure she’s a very nice woman. But, would you take a course on how to be thin/fit/healthy/firm from her? This is what her website says…
I don’t think it’s wise for anyone to adhere to a system wherein people are relying upon “Vianna’s journey in releasing pounds and building muscle in the highest and best way”- when Vianna has had liposuction and is clearly still overweight. I believe that those 2 things are enough to cause you to not trust a weight loss course that Vianna pioneered.
Here’s another liberated woman, Suzie.
Where is the rest of her? Why did she choose to put the smallest sized picture possible, where you can barely tell that she’s human and not just a What is she trying to hide? Would you pay $150 for her 4 hour course? This is what her website says:
Uh oh. We’ve got a lot of the same wording as the first Suzanne. Perhaps words from the (cult) leader? Is Suzie really just Suzanne, trying to get more press? I don’t understand how they can claim the ability to teach which supplements should be used in a weight liberation course.
Next there’s Dawn Maree, who has YouTube’s aplenty. Here’s a shot of her from “Bones” from 2006 (Admission of jealousy #1: As a major Bones fan, I’m ridiculously envious!)
Looks to me like Miss Dawn Maree was already pretty thin. Other than this picture, most videos of her are just of the neck up- but it looks to me like weight was never really an issue for her. She falls into the class of con-healers (sorry for the redundancy) of those who never needed to be liberated, but think they can teach the rest of us who do need some liberation all of the profound ThetaHealing knowledge that the Liberator herself, Vianna, downloaded straight from God. Her website says…
Hmmm. We’ve got some major copying of words going on… including using incorrect grammar. (I’m hoping someone will read this and send the message to the whole crew that they need to add an extra “o” to the word “to” in “to busy”. I really would like to see some more free-thinking here, guys.)
Let’s find one more, just for the sake of having an even 4 examples of who is teaching this class… and who I’ve found on the FIRST page of my googling today. This is Eric.
This is another example of the profile picture. I’m not sure if this guy has abs of steel or if his weight rivals a buffalo. All I know is that this is what his website declares.
Same message, but at least he was smart enough to fix the blaring errors. This time he added that the prerequisites are “Basic & Advanced Certification”. Better start the classes now, or you’ll never be liberated from those darn pounds!
And this is why the lack of pictures is a problem! How can ThetaHealers advertise on the internet about fixing something as touchy as blubber and muscles, with no visual acknowledgement of *the* before and after shots??
This whole ThetaHealing thing is quite unrealistic. How much more obvious can it be that they’re just looking to take your money? It’s a great lure, however, for the lazy people of the world. How nice would it be if everything, including weight loss- wait, excuse me- weight liberation takes no work at all? Nothing in the world of ThetaHealing takes any actual effort, no working hard to get a benefit. It’s all just “close your eyes and say yes” and then you have what you want! ThetaHealing is absolute junk.
Hand over your cash, and SMILE while you do it!
I feel like the basic premise of ThetaHealing is to announce to the world that there is finally a group that has all the answers for everything there is when clearly the “founder” herself has so many of the issues (claimed to be fixable so easily by ThetaHealing) on her own. It’s a classic cultish behavior. They provide all of the answers to everything in one cozy little package… that you have to keep paying for, of course. I mean, let’s not get carried away here, they won’t offer this stuff for free, guys. But… I thought we were already introduced to this with Scientology and the magical auditing? Did we really need another group who claims all power, for everything there is? From healing “cancer of the leg” to finding Soul Mate(s) to Weight Liberation… I certainly wasn’t aware that we did… Maybe that’s because it’s idiotic.
So, until next time, if you want to rid yourself of some extra pounds, please feel free to try whatever liberation mechanism you’d like- as long as it doesn’t involve downloading the release of weight from God. ThetaHealing still doesn’t work. No “buts” allowed.
