The following 2 videos were posted on YouTube on May 4, 2010, (aired on May 3). Moreno Morella, from Striscia la Notizia, interviewed Vianna for a ‘scientific’ study of a psychic reading/healing. They’re both in Italian, but there is enough English to figure out what’s going on in the videos… For the in-between things, I asked for translation from Walter, the man who posted the videos on YouTube. (Listen for the audience laughter!)
“They brought me this little boy. It was actually on the telephone. You can heal people on the telephone! He had colon cancer everywhere. So I go up, I go, ‘God, [movements]. Usually I go up and say, ‘[see following picture],’ It’s, it’s true, I just point. I did a healing on this little boy… Two days later, they had found no cancer in her son.”
“I healed my car.”
“I healed immediately.”
Walter (YouTube poster) interpreted what happened during the reading on Mr. Gianni, saying in an email to me, “To Mr Gianni are attributed all the probable diseases for a subject of that body aspect. Vianna says he hear less from one ear and he must read using the glasses and having too much weigh his heart is tired.”

And this is where it gets funny- The reporter explains to the interpreter that Mr. Gianni has had a heart attack, a quadruple bypass and that he’s diabetic. Well, Vianna can’t say (especially on camera), “Oh, man, I missed three enormous problems!” Instead, she said, “They did a good job on his bypass.” But it can’t end there! Now she has to add something really profound about the “obvious” quadruple bypass that she missed.
Vianna: “Did they leave a piece of something in your rib cage? Uh…” Answer: “There is a big scar.” Vianna: “Okay!”
Vianna is clearly pleased at this point! She nailed it!… Well, either that or she told the guy what everyone knows- that there’s a massive scar down his entire chest now, disguised by ‘sensing something remaining in/on his chest’.
Then it came time for the “reading” of (interviewer) Moreno Morella. Vianna grabs his hand and proceeds… she declares him to be in perfect condition! Excellent! Oh wait- except for the knee that Vianna is touching is the only part of his body that has a problem.
Walter explained to me, “Referring to himself, the reporter is saying he is in good health and the only trouble is in his knee where he brokes the small round bone of the kneecap (rotula) and now there is an hole.” So the reporter tells Vianna about this… Walter continued, “Vianna touches the knee saying it will be healed the next day, maybe tomorrow there will be some pain but everything will go away. After few days the reporter made an hospital examination but the knee was always broken.”
Hm. I could be wrong here- but it seems as though the psychic was far from psychic, and that the healer did no healing. I’m also going to go really far out on a limb here and say that perhaps, perhaps, Vianna isn’t actually a Psychic Healer (or Medical Intuitive Healer).
Oh, but it doesn’t end here, friends! We must get Vianna’s explanation… right? For where would we be without clarification of what we just saw with our own eyes? Surely she’ll have something profound to say. (click the statement to enlarge for easier reading)
Wow.
I don’t know about you, but I’m moved at the profundity of this incredible statement. It’s quite a gift that Vianna has! I’m constantly at awe at how she finds ways for everything to always be everyone else’s problem… Truly a natural talent!

How hilarious is that! I watched the videos a few times too. The laughter (laugh track?) cracked me up. Surely, this reporter and TV station are making fun of Vianna for her stupidity and fraud. The comment she makes back to the Italian people is also very telling. She is in HOT WATER! She has no idea what she’s talking about and is REACHING for anything to say now. Her “psychic” abilities (…you know, the gift from GOD that we all supposedly have if we just all take her seminars?) have run amuck. I guess her GOD has left her stranded. Now more than ever, she is looking like a real fool. Hopefully, the Italians will see her for who she really is. A FRAUD.
You can tell that she loves to be in front of an audience. She jokes around and makes physical movements like she’s one of them (Italian). She REALLY takes to heart, “While in Rome…” (do what the Roman’s do). She’s pretty skilled it appears in becoming one with her audience. That’s what CON ARTISTS do. Make people think you’re one of them. Act like them, talk like them, put them at ease and voila! Rip them off. Steal their money! $$$$$$$$$$$
I also enjoyed the “physical” presence of Guy Stibal in the background. He’s ALWAYS nearby. Notice that? Ever wonder why? Protector? Co-conspirator? Exactly! It’s all a well-planned and conceived act.
VIANNA, IS IMPLODING!
Linda,
Very true- Vianna acts like wherever she is, just like her son always did. They go to Australia and all of a sudden everything is “no worries, mate”… And like you said, it’s not because they’re trying to blend in or reflect the culture in a respectful fashion- it’s to say “I love you. Give me money.”
I’m not sure what the accent was with “They say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’” in some sort of sketchy “Oliver” accent… or something… Whatever it was made me laugh!
And by the way, there are a LOT of people in Italy right now checking into ThetaHealing. I’ve had an incredible amount of hits on my blog over the past week or so with Italian addresses. They know. And more people are finding out everyday. The best part of that? It’s got nothing to do with me. Vianna and her followers (including her hovering husband) have done it to themselves… and no amount of “they took it out of content [sic]” will undo what came out of the horses mouth.
Thanks Linda,
Lindsey

Well done Lindsey for bringing this TV programme to the attention of those outside of Italy. Someone who once worked with Vianna for many years recently confided in me that she “is as intuitive as a brick”, and I think this TV programme demonstrates that.
I thought I would add that Vianna is discredited not only by what she says, but also by the way in which she says it. For example, when she speaks about TH she can often be seen avoiding eye contact, and she tends to make excessive hand movements; these are tell-tale signs of lying. If you examine this TV interview (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fIyUriivAg) you will see that she shakes her head when she makes the following statements: “I’ve been psychic all my life” (at 16:47); and “It healed instantly. It came back down to normal size. The tumour had swollen my leg really big; it had gone” (at 23:19). When someone makes a positive statement whilst shaking their heads it indicates that they are lying. If you watch the rest of the video you will see that she invariably shakes her head when making certain claims and describing certain incidents (e.g., that she cured a young girl of paralysis and other matters, that she cured a young boy of colon cancer and so on). TH is a modality which uses muscle testing extensively; according to it the body does not lie….
Paul,
I’m not sure you’ve ever said something on here that couldn’t be a blog-post on its own! You’re right about it all! (including the psychic as a brick comment, which is sadly humorous!) Absolutely right! There are many, many times that I’ve seen the same thing… wherein visual cues draw attention to the lie that comes next. The ones you mentioned are fantastic- thank you!! If you find more, I’d love to hear! Another great one was where Vianna coughed right before reading “Doctorate in Ministries” to her ‘first graduating class’… but that video was taken down. (I wonder why?)
“according to it the body does not lie”- My new favorite quote. Thank you so much, Paul!

Vianna does not normally give much away when she speaks on stage; she is just like any other actress appearing on stage to perform. By contrast, the video I provided a link to offers a unique insight as Vianna (normally a confident and charismatic speaker) is clearly very nervous and apprehensive; just look at the way she speaks and behaves at the beginning of the interview.
The interview (shot in Sept. 2009) was given at a time when the credibility of Vianna’s claims had been bought into question by former TH instructors such as Trisha Howell, and so this may have been the reason why she was nervous. Indeed, when Vianna came to London several weeks later she declined to allow the audience to ask any questions of her at all – even when she still had time left and the organisers of the event suggested she open the floor to questions she still declined to do so. Likewise, at another event in London Vianna allowed some questions – provided they were submitted to her in writing 48 hours before the event…
Because Vianna was very nervous during the interview she did not conceal her body language very well, and it is obvious that she was lying. If someone tried to convince you of something but kept shaking their head as they were doing so would you believe them?
I am glad you have this blog and that you share with others your insights and opinions about the Stibal family. I wish I had come across a site like yours when I was learning TH. I hope that, all things considered, people can see for themselves that TH is nothing more than an amalgamation of existing concepts and modalities marketed under a single brand name, and sold on the back of false and exaggerated claims. Vianna and most of her TH instructors do not care about anyone else; all they care about is extracting as much profit and devotion as possible from those who trust them. I cannot tell you some of the things which have been disclosed to me by those who have no real vested interest in discrediting TH, but I just hope people realise that Vianna is not at all what she claims to be. TH is growing rapidly but this is not an indication of any merit inherent in the work itself – rather it is rather the function of Vianna’s many false and exaggerated claims. I hope that with Vianna’s increased profile will come increased scrutiny, and that sooner or later she will become unraveled so that all will see the unsavoury nature of this self claimed messenger of God.
Paul,
Interesting… your thoughts on Vianna being like any other “actress” on stage- I completely agree. I’ve watched the Bridging Heaven and Earth show several times but, until you mentioned it, I never noticed that she shakes her head at those key places! It’s like you said in your last comment- if the body is always right, then shaking your head “no” at “I’ve been psychic all my life” and “it healed instantly” is quite telling!
And no, she most certainly does NOT allow people to ask questions. At about 3:50 on this video http://www.youtube.com/user/mylifetvit#p/u/108/uenrTdckcEw someone goes to ask a question… before he even gets to ask it, Vianna says, “You’re wearing my favorite color”- which is an odd reaction- but evident of the nervous energy you mentioned. It’s not scripted at this point, she has no idea what the guy is going to say, so she has to start off with a compliment ‘just in case’ it’s a hostile question. By 3:53, midway into her complimenting the guy’s clothing, Guy appears on the stage. Why would he do that? To create a warm, Godly, unconditional love presence? Not even close. People are NOT allowed to question Vianna, and Guy was there to make sure of it. All the guy asks is, “To be a good ThetaHealer, do you think it’s important to have more patience or more belief in God?” Look at the expression of Vianna’s beloved Guy at 4:18, and listen for her awkward response.
Further- I’m glad that you mentioned the 2 key things that concern me… “extracting profit and devotion”. You nailed it. They want the cash, yes, but they want the devotees.
I do hope that this blog will reach people before they fall for the trickery of much-repeated lies and I greatly appreciate your support.

I’d like to share a quote that I read in a book today. A quote which I feel sums up much of what the message is here on this blog:
“We all want to believe in miracles
That’s what makes us vulnerable
And that’s what makes them (Vianna) rich.”
-Paul Salerno
author of: “SHAM: How the Self Help
Movement made America Helpless”
Anonymous-J,
Wow. I am a believer in miracles, but wow… I think you (he) nailed that one.

Now I’m not usually one for quoting scripture and this might be taking it a little far, BUT when I think of Vianna and other self-professed gurus like her, I can’t help but think of this quote from the Bible:
In reference to false prophets:
“13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.”
2 Corinthians 13-15
Anon-J,
Nah- I don’t think it takes it too far at all. She’s pulling the God card, and *we* can pull it right back. Love it. (Amen!)
